Every payment in Muvo comes with a VAT invoice in your organisation's name: subscriptions to Premium or Ultra, credit packs and access code packs. All of them live in one place in the panel, together with the tax details that appear on them. Only administrators can see this page.
Find your invoices
Go to Plan and credits → Invoices and tax details.
Look for the payment in the Invoices table. The newest are at the top.
Press PDF on its row to download the invoice.
Each row shows the Date, the Item with the invoice number, the Amount with the VAT on its own line, and the Status:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Paid | The payment went through. This is the usual status. |
| Refunded | The whole payment was given back to your card. |
| Partly refunded | Part of the payment was given back. |
Right after a payment, the row may show Preparing… instead of PDF for a few moments while Stripe issues the invoice. Reload the page and the download appears. If you have never paid, the table says No invoices yet.
You do not need to come here after each payment. Administrators get an email with a See the invoice button every time a subscription renews or a pack is paid, and the notification bell keeps a record.
Your tax details
Muvo asks for your tax details the first time someone buys something, in the Invoice details window, and never again. You can review or change them at any time under Tax details on the same page:
- Legal name: the official name of your museum, school or organisation.
- Tax ID or VAT number: in Spain, the NIF or CIF (for example, B12345678). Elsewhere in the EU, the VAT number with its country prefix.
- Billing email: the address your organisation uses for invoices.
- Address, Postcode, City, the optional floor or province fields, and Country.
Press Save tax details to keep the changes. They apply to the following invoices; invoices already issued keep the details they were issued with. If Muvo answers This tax or VAT number does not look valid for the selected country, check the number and the country you chose.
How VAT is calculated
Prices in Muvo are shown before VAT. You do not have to work out the tax yourself: Stripe, Muvo's payment provider, calculates it automatically at checkout from your country and your tax number, and it appears on its own line in the invoice and in the Amount column. For prices, see the pricing page.
Change your card in the Stripe portal
Muvo never stores your card. It is kept by Stripe, and you manage it in the Stripe portal:
Go to Plan and credits → Invoices and tax details and press Open the Stripe portal. With a subscription, Manage subscription and card in Plan and credits → Plan opens the same portal.
Add the new card and make it the default payment method.
Close the portal or use its link to go back to Muvo.
The portal also lists the invoice history kept by Stripe, which is handy if you need an older invoice. The button only appears once your space has been to the Stripe payment page at least once.
Edit your tax details in Muvo, not in the portal: the portal does not change them. And if a subscription renewal could not be charged, update the card quickly. See Change or cancel your plan for what happens to an unpaid subscription.
