When your space needs more credits than it has, an administrator can buy a credit pack. You pay once by card, the credits are added to your balance and they never expire. Packs are the same for every content language and every artwork: they simply top up the balance the whole team spends from.
Before you buy
- Only administrators can buy credits, because they are paid with your organisation's card. Editors do not see the Credits page of Plan and credits; they can ask the administrators for more from the credit history.
- Each pack shows how many credits it contains and its price before VAT. Current packs and prices are also on the pricing page.
- The page only lists the packs on sale for your current plan. Some packs are offered on every plan and others only on some, so the list can change when you change plan.
- If you only need a few paragraphs, remember that recording your own voice is free. See How credits work for what costs credits.
Buy a pack
Go to Plan and credits → Credits.
Scroll to Buy credits and press Buy on the pack you want.
The first time anyone in your space buys something, Muvo asks for the Invoice details of your organisation: Legal name, Tax ID or VAT number, Billing email and address. Fill them in and press Save and continue to payment. Muvo only asks once.
Pay by card on Stripe Checkout, Muvo's payment provider. VAT is added there according to your tax details.
When the payment is done, Stripe sends you back to the Credits page.
Muvo never sees or stores your card number: the payment happens entirely on Stripe. You get a VAT invoice for every pack. See Invoices and tax details.
When the credits appear
Credits are added only when Stripe confirms the payment to Muvo, never just because the browser came back from the payment page. That usually takes a few seconds:
- Back on the Credits page you see Confirming the payment… while Muvo waits for Stripe.
- As soon as it is confirmed, the message Credits added to your balance appears and the new balance shows the credits under Purchased.
- If it takes longer, you see The payment is taking a while to confirm. If you have paid, the credits are added as soon as Stripe confirms it: reload the page in a few minutes.
- If you leave the payment page before finishing, you return to Plan and credits with Nothing has been charged. You can try again whenever you want.
Each purchase is added once, even if the confirmation reaches Muvo more than once. It shows in the credit history as a Purchase, with the person who bought it, and the administrators get a notification and an email with the invoice.
Purchased credits never expire
Credits from a pack stay in your balance until you use them, whatever happens to your plan. If you go back to Zero, cancel a subscription or switch plans, purchased credits are kept. Only the monthly credits included in Premium and Ultra expire, when the next month's arrive.
If a pack payment is refunded, the share of its credits that is still unspent is taken back from your balance. Credits already used stay used.
The order in which credits are spent
Your balance can mix credits from several sources. Muvo always spends the ones that expire first, so you never lose credits you paid for:
| Order | Kind | Expires? |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Extra, with a date, added by Muvo for a limited time | Yes, on the date shown |
| 2 | Included in your plan, every month with Premium or Ultra | Yes, at the end of the month |
| 3 | Free, from Muvo, such as the welcome credits | Never |
| 4 | Purchased, from the packs you buy | Never |
So buying a pack in the middle of a Premium month does not waste your included credits: they are used first, and the pack is only touched once they run out. The Credits page shows how much you have of each kind.
