Audio Guide Scriptwriter (Spanish + English)
Join Muvo's content team to write audio guide scripts for museums and heritage sites: 90-second stories that visitors listen to until the very end. A project-based, fully remote collaboration. Native Spanish and professional English (C1+) required. This is not an immediate opening. We are gathering a small circle of writers for projects that will arrive over the coming weeks and months, and they will be varied: museums, monuments, archaeological sites, wineries and schools, each with its own subject, audience and tone. We would like to get to know you now, so that when the right project comes in, we already know whose voice suits it best.
What you'll do
- Join kick-off meetings with the museum team (curators, specialists, management).
- Read their material (catalogues, object records, articles) and propose which pieces make the tour, and in what order.
- Write audio guide scripts following the Muvo method: one idea per stop, a hook, a story and a detail to look at, in about 90 seconds.
- Adapt the tone to each audience: general, family or school, and international visitors.
- Incorporate the client's feedback without losing accuracy or pace.
- Upload the scripts to the platform and check them by listening on a phone.
What we're looking for
- Native Spanish, with flawless, clear writing and a good ear.
- Real professional English (C1 or above): enough to run a meeting with an international client and write or review a script in English. This isn't a translation role.
- Proven experience in scriptwriting (radio, podcast, audiovisual), cultural or science communication, heritage interpretation, museum education or arts journalism.
- Respect for accuracy: you can tell a fact from a hypothesis, and you never make things up to make a story prettier.
- Autonomy, reliability with deadlines, and ease working with specialists.
- Project-based collaboration: we call you when a project that suits you comes in. Rate per stop or per project, agreed in advance, invoiced as a self-employed professional (autónomo/a).
- When applying, attach your CV and add links to a few writing samples in your message.
Nice to have
- A background in History, Art History, Humanities, Communication or Journalism.
- Experience writing audio guides or museum content.
- Knowledge of Easy-to-Read (UNE 153101 EX) or plain-language writing.
- Experience writing for children.
- A third language.
What we work with
- Google Docs
- Microsoft Word
- Muvo
